The purpose of my lecture is to explain theory of isoparametric hypersurfaces in spheres and its applications to geometry of Lagrangian submanifolds in complex hyperquadrics. We shall discuss our recent results and further related problems in this area. This lecture is mainly based on my joint work with Associate Professor  Hui Ma
