The power of Complex Analysis will be illustrated using two different developments. First, the Unified Transform (also known as the Fokas method) will be reviewed, which is based on appropriate deformations of certain integrals from the real line to the complex plane. Second, recent unexpected results in the asymptotic analysis of the celebrated Riemann zeta function will be presented which are based on the combination of complex analysis and novel asymptotic techniques 海报5.23.jpg
